SECRET MESSAGE

A WOMAN has been saved after being held at knifepoint by an alleged rapist when she sent restaurant staff a crucial clue in her Grubhub order, court documents show.

A New York café called the cops after the young alleged rape victim sent a chilling note in a breakfast order at 5am ET on Sunday, resulting in the arrest of “rapist” Kemoy Royal.

Employees at Chipper Truck Café in Yonkers received a run-of-the-mill order for an Irish breakfast sandwich and cheeseburger but were concerned when they read the confusing message that came with it.

“Please call police, his going to call me when u delivered come with the cones please don’t make it obvious,” the note reads.

Though difficult to interpret, the message was concerning enough that employees called the co-owner for advice on what to do, 20-year-old employee Alicia said.

Alice Bermejo, co-owner of the café, said she and her husband could tell the writer was rushing to ask for help in the message and told employees to call the cops, News 12 Westchester reported.

“Better safe than sorry,” said the owner’s daughter Alicia after she noted that it could have been a prank.

The message surely was a cry for help, as a 24-year-old woman was being held hostage after she was allegedly raped at knifepoint in a house in the Bronx, police said.

The victim said she met up with 32-year-old man Kemoy Royal, the alleged rapist, after the two met online, ABC 7 reported.

She claimed that she agreed to go back to his home but attempted to leave when she began to feel uncomfortable.

However, he refused to let her leave and began to make violent threats, according to a criminal complaint against Royal.

Prosecutors said Royal told the victim that she would die if she didn’t do what he said.

The alleged rapist would not let the victim use her phone except to order food, police said.

He answered the door expecting to find his food delivery, but was met by police after employees call 911, authorities said.

Royal now faces multiple charges including rape, unlawful imprisonment, strangulation, criminal sex act, and sexual abuse.

He has also been charged with attempted rape and sexual assault of another young woman days earlier.

Prosecutors have linked Royal with an incident that took place June 14.

Royal tricked the 26-year-old female into coming into his apartment before refusing to let her leave and attacking her, prosecutors charge.

He attacked her and bit her breasts before, later telling cops that he thought the victim was playing “cat and mouse” with him, authorities say.

The Chipper Truck employees say they are glad Royal is off the streets, and a friend called the restaurant to thank employees for their intuition which led to the arrest.

“They called to thank us and just be like, ‘Thank you so much for helping my friend and making sure that she was fine,'” Alicia Bermejo said.

“We really had no idea of the gravity of the situation until after everything had happened.”
