Global ceramics company Steelite International plans to cut 20 per cent of its UK workforce, a move which will affect more than 800 people in Middleport, Staffordshire. The move is a response to a drop in demand for the service. Its factory currently employs a skeleton crew and has begun a 45-day consultation period.
