1. Goodstuff Smokehouse

How They Are Helping

Due to school closures across the state, there is an overwhelming amount of students who can’t afford to have lunch anymore. Those who visit Goodstuff Smokehouse in Blackstone, MA (with or without parents) during lunchtime, any weekday, will receive a free kids meal to-go.

2. Daddy Jones Bar

How They Are Helping

Contacted by multiple School Counselors, as well as families impacted directly by Coronavirus, Daddy Jones Bar took it upon themselves to prepare and drop off meals and bags of groceries to families in need. They are currently taking donations in order to continue putting together bags with produce, pasta, rice, pita, and peanut butter, which are valued at $50 per request.

3. The Breakfast Spot

How They Are Helping

The Breakfast Spot has teamed up with Elevate Boston as well as Romilda and Families for Justice as Healing in order to feed Boston youths to a free lunch buffet. Kids can visit 2805 Washington Street in Roxbury, Tuesday through Friday from 11:30AM to 2:30PM, for this free lunch buffet.

4. Little Donkey

How They Are Helping

Little Donkey has been working with Off Their Plate in order to feed healthcare workers at Faulkner hospital as well as Mass General. Off Their Plate is an organization that is working to help community heroes under crisis from COVID19 by supporting local restaurants and feeding frontline healthcare workers.

5. Bistro 63

How They Are Helping

Starting this week, Bistro 63 in Amherst, MA, has begun giving away free meals to those in the foodservice industry (waiters, bartenders, etc.) that have been impacted by COVID-19 restrictions. They will continue doing this 2 days a week, Sundays and Thursdays, for as long as they can. They are asking those interested to RSVP by 12pm on the day of, by directly messaging them on social media, and the meals will be ready for curbside pickup between 5-6 PM.

6. Rootastes

How They Are Helping

Rootastes is taking initiative during these challenging times by helping those on the frontlines of this pandemic. Each time they reach a donation of $1,000, they are committed to feeding 100 healthcare workers, including nurses, doctors, security, and more, with nutritious meals that will help get them through such long shifts.

7. Tuscan Kitchen 

How They Are Helping

Tuscan Kitchen is working to ensure that those in the frontline of the pandemic are fed. So far, they have donated 150 dinners to Mass General Hospital as well as provided meals for COVID-19 nurses and assistants at Lawrence General Hospital. They are also providing groceries from their Tuscan Market to nurses who work directly with affected patients.
