The Syndicate of Restaurant Owners in Lebanon declared the readiness of the tourism sector for the summer season of 2023. The announcement was made in the syndicate’s headquarters in Ain Al-Mreisseh, in the presence of the Lebanese Tourism Minister Walid Nassar and artist Ramy Ayach. Therese Frangieh, Nina Al-Atarsh, Fahim Fadel, Roni Ayach, Mark Aboud, Antoine Rizk, Rachid Arabi, Wissam Al-Jarah, Etienne Sabagh, Michel Ajji and Mustafa Al-Samad, among others, attended the event, as did members of the syndicate’s council.
During the event, the syndicate president, Tony Ramy, welcomed the attendees and praised the Minister of Tourism’s efforts as well as his faith in the power of collaboration between the public and private sectors. He also congratulated singer Ramy Ayach on the opening of his new restaurant, Lebanon. The venue’s location holds special significance as it is located where the original syndicate was founded in 1946.
Ramy went on to assuring the Lebanese hospitality sector’s readiness to welcome visitors this summer and provide them with optimal service.
Over 250 tourist facilities, including hotels, guesthouses, resorts, restaurants and nightclubs, have opened their doors. Furthermore, major nightclubs will be reopening in downtown Beirut.
Beirut is now declared the primary destination for summer tourism, welcoming guests and visitors from Lebanese expatriates to Arab and foreign tourists.
Ayach received a gold badge for joining the syndicate. He expressed his gratitude for th honor and wished H.E. Walid Nassar all the best in his endeavor. He recalled the former Japanese ambassador’s description of Lebanon as a pearl and expressed his desire to see it shine again.
