Island fin poké opens first tennessee location

Local Entrepreneurs to Bring a Taste of Hawaii to the Volunteer State

Island fin poké opens first tennessee locationClarksville, TN  (RestaurantNews.com)  Island Fin Poké – the fast-casual restaurant famous for its Hawaiian-style build-your-own poké bowls – is thrilled to announce the Nov. 14 opening of its first location in Tennessee. Located in Clarksville at 2305 Madison St. Ste. C., this restaurant will be a true family business owned by the Bryant Families including Jeff Bryant Sr., along with his sons Jeff Bryant Jr. and his wife Chelsea, and Justin Bryant and his wife Sarah. It will be the first Island Fin Poké restaurant that they intend on opening in the area, with hopes to open more in the future.

Island Fin Poké of Clarksville will serve healthy and flavorful poké bowls (pronounced “poh-kay”). Poké is a popular Hawaiian dish consisting of proteins, nourishing toppings and served over lettuce or rice. Guests can choose from responsibly sourced ingredients and create their own customized poké bowl, with a selection of over eight proteins, 25 different toppings, nine gluten-free house-made sauces, and specialty mix-ins. The endless possibilities allow guests to get creative and try something new every visit. The Clarksville restaurant will offer third party delivery options, online ordering through the Island Fin Poké app, and indoor seating. The location’s interior will feature custom artwork from local artist, Olasubomi Aka-Bashorun, as well as an interactive map of the United States that traveling customers can place a pin of their hometown on to celebrate Clarksville’s history as a military town.

“I’ve lived in Clarksville since Jeff and I got married about 16 years ago, so I know the community very well and we’re thrilled to introduce them to a healthy and delicious meal option that they’ve been waiting for,” said Chelsea Bryant. “We’re confident that Clarksville will fall in love with Island Fin Poké as quickly as we did and we can’t wait to add to our ‘Ohana.”

Opening their own business has been on the Bryants’ minds for a while, but it wasn’t until they came across Island Fin Poké’s unique concept that they finally found the perfect fit. After Jeff’s mother unexpectedly passed away two years ago, he wanted to do something to honor her. Before she passed, they went on a family trip to Hawaii and spent time at one of her favorite places, the beach. When they returned and later discovered Island Fin Poké, they immediately fell in love with the Hawaiian-inspired food and family-oriented company culture. The Bryants are excited to help their matriarch’s memory live on and give back in a new way by providing a quick and healthy meal option that the Clarksville community desperately needs.

“There is nothing in the world more important than family. My late wife, Debbie, absolutely loved the beach and Hawaii.  I can’t think of a better way to honor her memory than with a restaurant dedicated to some of her favorite things that can bring us even closer as a family,” said Jeff Bryant Sr. “I know she would be proud of what we’re doing for our home community, and I only wish she could be here to enjoy being on this journey with us.”

The opening of the brand’s Clarksville location marks a significant step in Island Fin Poké’s continued expansion throughout the U.S. For more information, visit www.islandfinpoke.com.
