The new-look St Anne’s Court site will feature additional seating, with the chef’s table set to add four extra covers to bring its total capacity to 12. There will also be a new adjoining lounge area for guests to enjoy drinks before or after dinner.
Aulis London is one of three restaurants operated globally by Rogan’s Umbel Restaurant group under the Aulis moniker, the other two being located in the Lake District and Hong Kong, respectively.
Overseen by executive head chef Oli Marlow and head chef Charlie Tayler, it serves a regularly changing multi-course tasting menu created using ingredients predominantly sourced from Rogan’s Lake District farm, Our Farm.
Increasing the restaurant’s size brings Aulis London more in line with the its Hong Kong outpost, which also holds 12 covers.
The remodel has been designed by Blacksheep to showcase ‘crafted, natural materiality’ and features rich green furnishings, earthy tones and recycled materials alongside warm hues and multi-textural accents.
It also includes a newly installed natural stone countertop that spans the main dining space, and a ‘softly illuminated’ wine store display.
Aulis started life in 2010 in the same building that houses Rogan’s three Michelin star Cartmel flagship, L’Enclume, before being exported to London in 2017 and Hong Kong a year later.
The London restaurant closed in January this year for its remodel, and will reopen on 30 May.
