Aramark and Compass Group have officially signed on to the Pacific Coast Food Waste Commitment (PCFWC) goal of reducing food waste by 50% along the West Coast by 2030. The partnership builds on the companies’ current efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle food waste. throughout their operations.
“As an extension of our mission to do great things for people and the planet, Aramark is committed to reducing food waste in our operations with the goals of conserving resources, reducing food insecurity , and minimize our environmental footprint,” said Alan Horowitz, vice. president of sustainability at Aramark, in a statement, “Participating in the Pacific Coast Food Waste Commitment allows us to work with our industry partners to further advance our sustainability efforts in forward, while also encouraging others in the space to do their part.
