By Kumar Kunal: Ahead of Diwali 2022, raids were conducted at several restaurants in Delhi which were serving liquor without a license by Delhi’s excise department.
The Delhi Police conducted a raid on different restaurants across the national capital and seized over 230 bottles of foreign liquor.
The raid was conducted at several pubs and restaurants, such as Raftaar in Punjabi Bagh, and Blinque in Rajouri Garden, among others.
An FIR has also been registered against the establishment for serving liquor without a license.
ILLEGAL RACKET OF MIXING LIQUOR
In other news, Delhi Police also busted a racket for rebranding liquor from other states.
The fraudsters were mixing the liquor for Haraya with the branded alcohol and selling it on the market.
The Delhi Excise Department said on Friday that foreign liquor was being supplied by a group of bartenders after mixing Haryana’s whiskey and putting a false label on Delhi.
The rebranded alcohol was found in Karol Bagh, Rani Bagh, Sarita Vihar, and Chhatarpur among other areas. Along with this, some more brands of foreign liquor are being sold illegally in the national capital, officials revealed.
